MediDrive is the contracted non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) broker for Aetna Better Health of Virginia.
This partnership serves Virginia Medicaid members under the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS).
We work with a network of qualified transportation providers to deliver safe, reliable rides to medical appointments across the state.
Types of transportation we provide

Standard (Ambulatory)
Regular rides for members who can walk independently.

Wheelchair accessible vehicles
Rides for members using wheelchairs or mobility devices.

Safety during bad weather
Virginia weather can be tough.
If there are hurricanes, tornadoes, or storms, we follow strict rules to keep you and our drivers safe.
- We always prioritize life-sustaining trips like dialysis or chemotherapy
- If the weather is too dangerous, rides may be delayed or canceled
- If your ride is canceled, we will notify you and reschedule as soon as possible
- There will be no penalties applied for weather-related cancellations

MediDrive is a non-emergency transportation provider and does not handle medical emergencies.
