Standards we expect from our network
Medical transportation plays a vital role in preventive healthcare, a service everyone deserves. To ensure Health First Colorado Medicaid members receive safe, reliable, and dignified care, we ask our partners to uphold these standards:

Prioritize safety & privacy
Maintain the fleet working at the highest standards. Ensure all vehicle recording devices, safety restraints, and GPS components are operational during every trip.
Maintain punctuality
Many passengers are traveling to time-sensitive treatments like dialysis or chemotherapy. Drivers are expected to arrive within the scheduled pickup window so as not to disrupt a patient’s medical appointment.
Honor accepted rides
Once a trip is accepted, you are expected to execute it completely. In case of unforeseen circumstances that prevent this from happening, drivers need to notify our dispatch team immediately so a replacement vehicle can be arranged.
Report incidents immediately
Any concerning on-road incident, accident, or safety complaint has to be formally reported and documented, so our team can protect both you and the member when needed.
Treat members with dignity
Every person deserves to be treated with respect and compassion. Drivers have to be willing to offer verbal directions and door-to-door assistance to accommodate passengers with limited mobility.
