Application Process

Enroll & Register

Enroll in Health First Colorado interChange and submit your provider application to MediDrive.

  • Obtain active NPI number
  • Enroll in interChange (HCPF)
  • Submit MediDrive provider application
  • Provide business license and entity documents

Submit Documentation & Training

Upload all required documentation and complete mandatory training for all drivers.

  • Insurance certificates with MediDrive as additional insured
  • Driver background checks and motor vehicle records
  • HIPAA compliance certification
  • Defensive driving and wheelchair securement training

Vehicle Inspection

Schedule and pass the 19-point vehicle safety inspection at an approved MediDrive inspection site.

  • Schedule inspection via provider portal
  • Pass 19-point safety checklist
  • GPS/AVL device verified and activated
  • ADA equipment inspection (wheelchair vehicles)

Approval & Activation

MediDrive reviews your full application. Upon approval you are activated and can begin accepting trips.

  • Credentialing review (typically 5–7 business days)
  • Rate schedule confirmation
  • Provider portal access granted
  • Begin receiving trip assignments

Arrive within the scheduled pickup window. Members depend on you for medical appointments.

Trip Completion

Complete all assigned trips. Report any issues immediately through the dispatch system.

Incident Reporting

Report all incidents, accidents, and complaints within 24 hours per protocol.

Customer Service

Treat every member with dignity and respect. Assist with mobility needs as required.

Annual Re-credentialing

All providers must complete the re-credentialing process annually to maintain active status in the MediDrive network. Re-credentialing ensures continued compliance with Health First Colorado standards and keeps member safety at the forefront.

  • Updated insurance certificates
  • Vehicle re-inspection (19-point)
  • Training renewal completion
  • Background check renewal

Deadline reminder: Re-credentialing documents must be submitted at least 30 days before your annual renewal date to avoid any lapse in active provider status.
